Services:
We offer a wide range of services from clothing sourcing to supplying through a variety of garment printing methods and high quality embroidery. Here at Uniform Wear we have extensive knowledge of all aspects of the trade from manufacturing to importing for our larger clients, through retailing at our East London trade counter.
Embroidery:
Embroidery is by far the most durable and noticeable method of branding your clothes. We use new, top of the range 15 colour Embroidery machines from Tajima and the best threads from Madeira to ensure a top quality finish. We have the capacity for any sized order, we also operate a minimum order value of £35 +vat and the design set up cost starting at £25+ vat. Embroidery is charged per 1000 stick, so to offer an accurate assessment on price we would need to see a clear image of your artwork beforehand.
Digital Transfer Printing:
We offer a diverse range of digital transfers, up to A4 size. We can also provide full colour transfers of photographic quality that can be applied to light and dark coloured garments. We can also make temporary tattoos and stickers that can apply to wood, glass and much more. High resolution artwork is mandatory for this service to achieve the best effect. Artwork can be redrawn/vectored at a cost. Otherwise there are no set up costs or minimum quantities applied.
Sublimation Printing:
Sublimation as a production technique is relatively simple. It’s the chemical process which separates it from every other form of digital printing. When sublimation inks are heated to 200ºC, they turn into gas and for a permanent bond to the 100% polyester fabric or items that have a polymer coating. The ink molecules revert to a solid state when cooling. The result is a premium full colour, photogenic quality image that will not crack, peel or wash away from the substrate. Sublimation dyes are not opaque and therefore the items printable would need to be white or pastel colour.
Screen Print:
We also offer screen printing for any quantity of items from 1 to 200,000 and from between 1 and 16 colours. We can provide virtually every type of ink and application known in the industry including foil application, discharge inks, glitters, hi-build and puff inks, diamante application and leather effects and varnishes. All deadline dates covered along with competitive pricing. Set up cost applicable with a minimum print run of 25 pieces.
Vinyl Printing:
This method of print is suitable for low quantities and favourable, for example, for one off names and numbers in sports kits. Unlike screen printing, no set up charges are applied unless any artwork needs to be redrawn/vectored. No minimum quantities and we have a huge range of coloured vinyl’s including foil, holographic and glitter camouflage.
Digitising & Vectoring:
The process of Digitising is to convert your design into a format that can be read by our Embroidery machines. It is essential that this part of the process is done to a high level of standards as it will determine the quality of the finished product. Princes start from £25 +vat for graphical designs.
Vector art is ideal for printing as the image is made from a series of mathematical curves, it will print very accurately even when resized. For example, we can print a vectored image on a small sheet of paper, then enlarge the same vectored image to billboard size and it will still keep its same sharp crisp quality. It is necessary if you decide on vinyl printing. Costs for this will depend on the complexity of the design.

We are the complete solution for School Uniform; we have an online shop with which we can serve customers and schools nationwide. We have a counter service at our premises for schools that wish to direct their parents to a local shop. We operate a click and collect service for parents that would like the convenience of online shopping with the added advantage of collecting at a time that best suits them. Being a free agent and not tied to supplying one brand like many other of the larger retailers, we are able to offer real diversity in products that we provide. We hold accounts with all of the top names in school uniform manufacturing and can supply fit for the demons of the school environment.
